New Generation Church is more than just a church; we are a fun and vibrant family, wholeheartedly passionate about caring deeply for people and joyfully introducing them to the life-changing love of Jesus. Our journey began with a small group of passionate young people, who, fuelled by an encounter with Holy Spirit wanted to create a place where faith is lived out with enthusiasm and genuine connection.

From our earliest days, we felt a strong calling to not just be in the community, but to be actively for the community. We believe that God’s love is expressed through tangible action, heartfelt care, and the infectious joy that comes from knowing Him. This conviction has shaped our path and led to the development of many God inspired initiatives.

One of the earliest expressions of this heart for our community was the establishment of Lark in the Park. What started as a seed of an idea has blossomed into a much loved annual event, bringing fun, laughter, and a real buzz to countless families in our area. Lark in the Park embodies our desire to create spaces where people can connect, have a great time, and experience the welcoming spirit of our community and generosity – a reflection of the joy we find in Jesus.

Our commitment to the next generation, fueled by a desire to see them reach their full potential and a nudge from Holy Spirit, led us to establish Hope Community School (hopecommunityschool.org). Recognising the vital role of education in shaping young lives, we embarked on the journey of creating a learning environment where children can flourish academically, socially, and spiritually, all within a framework that points them to God’s love and truth. Hope Community School stands as a testament to our belief in investing in the future and empowering young people to reach their full potential in every way.

Understanding the importance of accessible resources and community hubs, we founded Blackfen Community Library (blackfencommunitylibrary.org). From its inception, we envisioned the library as a vital space for learning, connection, and personal growth for everyone in Blackfen and the surrounding areas. We are incredibly proud of how quickly it has developed into a thriving community hub, serving as a dynamic centre for information, activities, and connection. This initiative reflects our deep care for the holistic well-being of people and our commitment to fostering a strong and engaged community.

At the heart of everything we do is our deep value for people. We believe that every individual is created in God’s image and deserves to be seen, heard, valued, and loved with the same radical love that Jesus showed. This principle guides our interactions within our fun-loving church family and our caring engagement with the wider community. We strive to create a welcoming and inclusive environment where everyone feels they belong and can discover the amazing love and grace of Jesus. We’re not afraid to be ourselves, to laugh together, and to embrace the joys and pains of life as we follow Christ.

Our story is still being written, filled with moments of laughter, acts of kindness, and the constant discovery of God’s presence in our lives and community. Every week, every event, every connection made adds a new chapter in our journey of sharing Jesus and caring for our community.

We affirm the Nicene Creed

We believe in one God,
The Father almighty,
maker of heaven and earth,
of all things visible and invisible.
And in one Lord Jesus Christ,
the only Son of God,
begotten from the Father before all ages,
God from God,
Light from Light,
true God from true God,
begotten, not made;
of the same essence as the Father.
Through him all things were made.
For us and for our salvation
He came down from heaven;
He became incarnate by the Holy Spirit and the Virgin Mary,
and was made human.
He was crucified for us under Pontius Pilate;
He suffered and was buried.
The third day, he rose again, according to the Scriptures.
He ascended to heaven
and is seated at the right hand of the Father.
He will come again with glory
to judge the living and the dead.
His kingdom will never end.
And we believe in the Holy Spirit,
the Lord, the giver of life.
